LAUNCH REPORT FOR 21ST JUNE 1998

Firstly I must say thanks to Chris and Sam Parker for taking charge of the launch meeting as I and other members of H.A.R.T. had been asked to help do a rocket display for cubs at Gilwell Park.

The weather was warm and sunny with a light breeze.

The first to launch was Sam with his Fat Boy rocket on a B6-4 engine. The rocket did a nice flight and then returned to earth slowly on its parachute.

Peter and his two sons Gary and Marc turned up and launched their Firebird rocket on a B6-4 engine and after doing a nice flight the rocket deployed it's parachute and landed.

Sam then launched a Venus Probe rocket on a C6-5 engine but unfortunately the rocket broke one of its legs on landing.

Chris's now famous and slightly shorter was again flown twice and did nice flights both times.

Gary then launched the tiny Mosquito Rocket on a A10-3T engine but it unfortunately shot in to air and promptly vanished and was lost.

If you manage to find a rocket while collecting your own, please bring it back to the launch site and give it to the R.S.O. so they can return it to their owner.

A warm welcome must goto Michael Fincham who has already visited H.A.R.T. on a few occasions to see what we get up to and after today's launch session he decided to join H.A.R.T.

Also a warm hello goes to James O'neal who came to the launch site for his first time to see what H.A.R.T. is like and as he brought along a few rockets he was allowed to launch them with help and guidance from Chris.

in total 4 people launched a total of 17 rockets.
