H.A.R.T. ROCKET CAR LEAGUE
TEST DAY 09TH MARCH 2003

The second test day of the new rocket car league was on a cold but rather windy day.

Soon people started to arrive and a 2 lane track was soon up and ready to be used.

Jim, bought along a number of rocket cars as well as some funny cars and very soon he was launching them down the tracks and giving the others some good close racing.

 

The next to race was Laurie's 6 year old sons car the "Blue Panther" against Stephens and Adam's Rocket car the "Atomic Skateboard".

Unfortunately the Parachute braking system caused slight damage to both cars and they will hopefully be fully repaired for the first League Race Meeting in a few weeks time, we have again gained a lot from the 2nd test day and we hope to improve the parachute braking system for the next meeting.

But the highlight of the test day was when we tested the 4 lanes for the first time.

3 of the cars all crossed the finish line under half a second apart of each other making for an exciting race, the 4th car was only run on a A engine so did not complete the track, but was raced to test the 4 lane launch system and this worked better then we all hoped and set off all 4 cars at the same time.

We are now looking forward to the first Rocket League Meeting and we are looking forward to people coming along and racing in the league.
